The 7MINDS hotel chain recently acquired by Fattal and the Tel Aviv real estate company, White City Buildings, will invest around NIS 200 million in building a desert luxury resort near Arad, on the ruins of Masada Hotel.
The two companies have jointly purchased a five-acre plot of land in the Judean Desert, east of Arad, overlooking desert vistas and the Dead Sea, to build a 5-star deluxe resort.
Bar Orian Architects will design the hotel, while Lambs and Lions Studio Berlin will be entrusted with its interior design. The well-known Israeli chef, Ran Shmueli of the Claro Group, will preside over the culinary side and concoct the menu.
The resort, run by 7 MINDS, is expected to open in about three years. According to Fattal spokesperson, the hotel “will be the first of many more prestigious desert resorts.”
The new resort will comprise 110 spacious suites ranging in size from 150 sqft to 1600 sqft, with balconies and private pools, on top of three communal pools, a spa and gym area, function rooms, open and covered public spaces, and two chef restaurants.
The 7 MINDS boutique hotels chain, jointly run by Oren Pascal and Ben Braverman, operates four boutique hotels in Tel Aviv, with six more hotels under development.
White City Buildings started as a conservation company in Tel Aviv and expanded into the hotel business. In recent years, it converted buildings and constructed 14 hotels around Tel Aviv, amounting to more than 1,400 rooms. Five of the hotels, about 600 rooms, are built in partnership with Isrotel. Several years ago, the company also built the Nordoi Hotel in Tel Aviv with 7 Minds.
Adv. Nisan Ben Hamo, Mayor of Arad: “The decision to establish a new prestigious hotel near Arad gives an official seal of approval to the great strides that Arad has made in promoting tourism in recent years. I am proud of the chosen developers and convinced that it will be a joint success, as Arad has huge tourism potential.”
Itzik Ben Shoham, owner of White City Buildings: “This is our second collaboration with 7 MINDS after we jointly and successfully built Nordoi Hotel in Tel Aviv several years ago. We have been involved in 14 hotel projects in Tel Aviv in recent years. With the growing popularity of desert resorts, we decided to focus our activity in this area as part of our growth strategy.”
Oren Pascal, owner of 7 MINDS: “We are happy to announce the expansion of our Israeli operations into luxury resorts with this unique project in the Judean Desert, which will offer guests a vacation in one of the most beautiful places in the country, and the highest level of service.”
