The opening of The Posthouse Berlin – Leonardo Limited Edition at the beginning of the week introduces a new gem in Berlin's luxury hospitality scene. Formerly the Crowne Plaza® Berlin – Potsdamer Platz, the hotel underwent extensive renovations in recent months and has been transformed into a modern and elegantly designed hotel. It operates under the Leonardo Limited Edition brand, featuring historical charm, unique character, and high levels of comfort.
According to Yoram Biton, CEO of Leonardo Hotels Central Europe: "The Posthouse Berlin is a hotel with an impressive history. We paid great attention to bringing its spirit to the present day. As part of the Leonardo Limited Edition, it represents character, uniqueness, and genuine Berlin-style hospitality right in the city center."
The Post Bar & Restaurant combines international flair with local authenticity, using high-quality local ingredients to reinterpret Berlin's culinary tradition.
The hotel's design combines elements from the 1920s–1930s with modern premium materials. Designer Andreas Neudeham was responsible for the renovation plan, incorporating blue tones and quality products to evoke the imperial postal service and the Thurn & Taxis family, who owned the German postal service in the 19th century.
The hotel offers 256 elegant rooms and suites, providing a welcoming atmosphere with warm colors and comfortable furnishings, along with personalized service. The hotel also includes eight meeting rooms, a modern gym, a sauna, and a steam bath.
The culinary concept at the Post Bar & Restaurant is a tribute to traditional Berlin cuisine - processed, refined, and creative. The hotel bar offers designer cocktails for a perfect evening atmosphere.
Jan Heringa, Vice President of Development and Project Management at Leonardo Hotels Central Europe, commented: "The Posthouse Berlin connects Berlin's history with the vibrant spirit of the city. It's a wonderful example of how the Limited Edition Collection breathes new life into extraordinary buildings."
The Posthouse Berlin is Leonardo Hotels' seventh project in Berlin and joins the Limited Edition brand's collection of hotels, including The Grand Brighton, Hotel Alden Splügenschloss in Zurich, The Nikolai in Hamburg, and Hotel Mannheimer Hof.
The hotel's central location near Potsdamer Platz and Anhalter Station, opposite the Tempodrom, provides easy access to economic and political institutions and green parks, including Tiergarten.
The new hotel manager is Falk Bertels, with over 30 years of experience. "I look forward to opening The Posthouse Berlin with my team. It's a place meant for visitors from all over the world and city residents to work, relax, and enjoy the city," said Bertels.
