Athens Airport's impressive growth. Passenger movement in the first half of 2025 at Athens Airport reached 15.1 million travelers. The international airport in Greece's capital issued an update showing a remarkable 7.6% increase compared to the first half of 2024, indicating that 2025 is once again expected to be a record-breaking year for Greece's largest airport.

These figures pertain to the months of January through June 2025, noting that the strongest months (July, August, and September) are not included in this assessment - and are forecasted to be even stronger and more record-breaking.

Athens Airport's revenue, including all examined metrics, rose by 5% to 308.2 million Euros in the first half of 2025, primarily due to increased passenger traffic, airport fee adjustments in line with regulations, and robust commercial performance.

The net profit at Athens Airport stood at 92.2 million Euros, a 5.1% decline anticipated by airport management.

In their official announcement regarding the first half of 2025 data, the airport authorities state that the airport expansion plan is advancing with the completion of the international tender selecting the winners who will execute the project, as well as the start of construction for a multi-story parking facility and a new northwest runway.
