After announcing its first direct route from Montreal to the popular Spanish vacation island Palma de Mallorca yesterday, Air Canada revealed today (September 10, 2025) its international network for summer 2026.
From Toronto, the airline is resuming direct flights to Shanghai and Budapest and increasing the frequency of flights to Prague.
The Vancouver-Bangkok route, initially launched as a seasonal service, will become a year-round regular route, with Air Canada remaining the sole North American airline offering a direct flight to Thailand's capital.
Additionally, the flight schedule includes the inauguration of new routes departing from Montreal to Catania in Sicily and, as mentioned, to Mallorca in Spain.

- Montreal - Catania (Sicily): Three times a week, June to October.
- Montreal - Mallorca (Spain): Four times a week, June to October.
- Toronto - Budapest: Four times a week, June to October.
- Toronto - Shanghai: Four times a week, regular year-round flights starting in June.
- Vancouver - Bangkok (Thailand): Three times a week, regular route all year long.
Additionally, the Toronto to Prague route will receive an additional weekly flight during peak periods, totaling four flights per week.

Canada's Minister of Transport and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, Chrystia Freeland, comments, "The expansion of Air Canada's route network provides travelers with more options, greater convenience, and direct connections to destinations in Europe and Asia. This move also supports trade, tourism, and the Canadian economy."
Minister of International Trade, Maninder Sidhu, adds, "As travelers move between continents, so do goods. Expanding Air Canada's route network strengthens Canada's trade ties with key markets and enhances our global competitiveness."
