The Fire In Jerusalem: Dozens Evacuated to Hospitals in Mild-To-Moderate Condition

MDA teams that arrived at the scene treated almost 40 people injured. Many were treated on site, while others were evacuated to hospitals after a fire broke out at a dormitory on David Yellin Street in Jerusalem. Police teams are handling traffic at the location.

Fire at a dormitory on David Yellin Street in Jerusalem. MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment to dozens of injured and evacuated those with various degrees of injuries to hospitals. According to MDA, dozens of people were treated, many of whom were taken to hospitals.

Dr. Aryeh Yaffe, a volunteer doctor with United Hatzalah and medics Ariel Drey and Zevi Klein said: "This is a fire in a residential building, part of which serves as a seminary for girls. We provided initial medical assistance at the scene to a large number of injured individuals. Additionally, at the scene, medical assistance was provided to three in serious condition, two girls in moderate condition, and the rest in mild condition. Large firefighting forces operated on the scene to extinguish the flames and rescue those trapped in the burning building."

Fire and rescue authorities reported that ten teams from the "HaUma" stations were dispatched to the location where a fire was detected on the top floor of the building. Additionally, the teams that entered the building identified a large number of girls trapped in smoke and fire. At the same time, they worked to prevent the smoke from spreading throughout the entire building.

The fire as mentioned broke out in a dormitory on David Yellin Street in Jerusalem. Police forces from the capital's central station acted on site, blocked the street, and kept the traffic routes open to allow the fire and rescue forces to operate efficiently at the scene.
