After ordering 20 more Airbus A321XLRs at the end of August, the Australian airline Qantas now announces that two new aircraft will officially enter commercial service on September 25, 2025.
The aircraft, named Great Ocean Road and Outback Way, will initially be operated on popular routes between Sydney and Perth as well as Sydney and Melbourne, gradually replacing the older 737 aircraft.
The A321XLR offers a significant upgrade to the flying experience with wider seats, larger windows, fast and free Wi-Fi, and overhead storage bins approximately 60% larger compared to the previous generation.
The first scheduled flights on September 25 (subject to regulatory approval):
QF645: Sydney 10:35 - Perth 13:35
QF650: Perth 14:35 - Sydney 20:40
QF467: Sydney 16:20 - Melbourne 17:55
