flydubai Launches New Route. The airline based in Dubai has announced an expansion of its presence in East Africa with the launch of a new route to Nairobi (NBO), Kenya, starting October 15, 2025. 

Flights will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB) with a frequency of four per week, on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. In addition to the new service to Nairobi, flydubai will also offer daily flights to Mombasa from October 1, 2025, which will bring the total number of weekly flights to Kenya to 11.

Commenting on the announcement, flydubai’s chief executive officer, Ghaith Al Ghaith, called Kenya “an important market” and expressed their excitement for being able to strengthen the airline's operations with the addition of the new route and boosted Mombasa frequencies. 

The CEO further explained that the flights best emphasize the meaning of tying Kenya to Dubai's global aviation hub, “enhancing access to trade, travel, and tourism” between the two countries. 

Flydubai currently offers access to 12 destinations in Africa, including Alexandria, Addis Ababa, Entebbe, Mombasa, Zanzibar, and more.

Fare prices:

  • Round-trip Business Class: 4,500 AED from DXB to NBO, 2,000 USD from NBO to DXB

  • Economy Lite class round-trip: 1,700 AED from DXB to NBO, 500 USD from NBO to DXB
