On September 23, hotel giant Marriott International and investment firm Hawkins Way Capital officially announced the first hotels in the United States to operate under the new brand Series by Marriott.
The brand, focused on transforming existing properties in prime locations to provide an updated urban hospitality experience, was launched about four months ago.
Photo: Marriott The new agreements include a series of properties in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and other areas, with hundreds of rooms expected to join the brand in the coming years.
Meet the New Brand
According to the network, the values of the new brand include quality, value, and trust, with emphasis on providing ideal locations for guests, a good night’s sleep, and activities as part of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.
All properties under Series are required to feature a functional public space with services tailored to local market demand, a guest room following mandatory cleanliness standards with rest options, and a private bathroom in each room with no shared facilities.
The first hotels under the new brand will be those currently operating under the FOUND brand:
- FOUND Miami Beach
- FOUND Chicago, IL
- FOUND San Francisco Nob Hill, CA
- FOUND Santa Monica, CA
- FOUND San Diego, CA
