For the second time this week, unidentified drones caused a temporary shutdown of all aviation activities at an airport in Denmark.

Last night, unidentified drones entered the airspace of Aalborg Airport in the north of the country, leading to a temporary halt of all flights at the airport.

The local police noted that several verified reports were received about drones flying at low altitudes and near runways, which necessitated the immediate stoppage of aerial operations.

The police statement read: "The North Jutland Police received a report at 21:44 about several unidentified drones in the airspace over Aalborg Airport. The police are present in significant numbers and closely monitoring the situation."

The latest update stated: "The unidentified drones spotted in North Jutland are no longer in the airspace of Aalborg Airport. An intensive investigation has begun."

Some flights were delayed, and others were redirected to nearby airports, including flights of SAS and Norwegian. Passengers were advised to check with their airlines and the Aalborg Airport website for updates.

This incident follows the closure of Copenhagen Airport three days ago after four large drones were seen in the area.

After approximately an hour, operations gradually resumed, but the airport noted that further disruptions might occur.

As a reminder, it wasn't just Copenhagen affected this week – drones also disrupted air traffic in Oslo, Norway's capital. Oslo Airport's management company, Avinor, reported that aerial operations were halted during Monday night.
