The 100 ml limit is gradually being lifted at European airports, with the Czech Republic joining the trend starting today, October 1, 2025.

Prague Airport has announced a significant relaxation of flight security rules, allowing passengers departing from Terminal 2 to carry one large liquid container of up to 2 liters per person in their hand luggage.

This is in addition to the current allowance of a one-liter transparent bag that can hold small containers up to 100 ml each.

After nearly two decades, during which the 100 ml liquid limit has been an integral part of the air travel experience in Europe, travelers are starting to feel the taste of the dramatic easing of the restrictions.

The change, already in effect at Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa Terminal 1, is expected to expand to more airports in Italy and Europe over the next two years.

This marks the first step in implementing new 3D CT (Computed Tomography) scanning technologies, which enable quick and accurate checks of bag contents without the need to manually check the contents, thereby eliminating the need to separate liquids.
