Evening quake rattles Japan: A magnitude 6.0 earthquake was felt in Japan today (Saturday, October 4, 2025).

The quake struck Eastern Honshu, about 56 km east of the city of Tomioka in Fukushima Prefecture, at 15:21 UTC (00:21 Japan time) at a depth of approximately 47 km.

According to initial reports, there was no tsunami threat, and no significant damage or casualties have been reported.
