The airline Wizz Air continues to expand its operations in Europe with the launch of new destinations from several major cities.

Among the new destinations operating from the Montenegrin capital, Podgorica, are Barcelona, Rome, Paris, Basel, Malmö, Cologne, Hamburg, Baden-Baden, Maastricht, Rzeszow, Poznan, and Ljubljana.

Additionally, the company will operate new routes from Basel/Mulhouse to Poznan and from Poland - Wroclaw and Gdansk - to Podgorica. This network expansion will allow European passengers to enjoy a wider range of destinations at affordable prices.

These developments are part of the company's expansion strategy, aimed at strengthening its presence in the European market and meeting the increasing demand for short and convenient flights across the continent.

The route extension continues after the company announced in early October 2025 that it is enhancing its presence in Poland with a new ninth A321neo aircraft and new routes to Athens, Nice, Tallinn, Vilnius, and Poprad-Tatry, included in the upcoming winter timetable. This follows Wizz Air's recent announcement just a week earlier about the opening of its 34th global base at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan, Armenia.

Simultaneously, today (October 14), the company published a 20% fall discount, and a few days ago, confirmed to PassportNews its plans to continue operating flights to Abu Dhabi from European bases, despite the city's base closure.

Even though these are not domestic destinations, it is noteworthy that the Hungarian company is eager to open an operational base in Israel, committing to a million seats this coming winter on routes to Israel, a strategic target, following Ryanair's decision to cancel its flights to the country this year.
