Cyber Attack on Airport Screens. Passengers and staff at Kelowna International Airport were left stunned and flights were delayed, after flight status screens and the PA system were hijacked to display terror-supporting messages. The horrendous incident was reported today (October 17, 2025) by the B'nai B'rith organization in Canada, following the incident that occurred yesterday.
Among the messages seen at several airports in Canada and the United States, were: "Israel lost the war", "Hamas won the war", "Donald Trump, you pig".
Sean Duffy, U.S. Secretary of Transportation, issued a strong condemnation of the incident, stating: "This is unacceptable and frightening for travelers. I, along with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), am coordinating with the airports where the event occurred to help get to the root of this breach."
According to media reports cited by B'nai B'rith, hackers managed to take control of screens and PA systems at several airports.
A statement distributed by the organization on social networks said: "One might ignore such a disturbing incident, but it must serve as a wake-up call. The transportation secretary must launch an investigation into how a foreign entity managed to seize infrastructure at a Canadian airport and broadcast messages glorifying a terrorist entity. This is another alarming example of the evolving threats to our national security by extreme terrorist supporters."
