Lufthansa Group announces major expansion for the Israeli market.
Lufthansa Group is expanding its routes to Israel with the upcoming winter flight schedule. Starting on October 27, 2025, the group will operate 64 weekly flights in total - compared to the current 59 flights by five airlines within the group.
Eurowings will resume its flights to Israel after a long hiatus, operating three weekly flights to Dusseldorf and two weekly flights to Hamburg. These are relatively new destinations from Israel.
Additionally:
- SWISS will expand from 7 weekly flights to operate 14 weekly flights to Zurich (using narrow-body aircraft).
- Austrian Airlines will operate 14 weekly flights to Vienna.
- Lufthansa will operate 28 weekly flights to Germany - half to Frankfurt (14) and half to Munich (14).
- Brussels Airlines will operate 3 weekly flights to Brussels.
As Europe's largest group, it will offer flights to seven destinations day and night, catering to growing demand following improved security conditions in Israel.
It is noteworthy that Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines resumed their flights to Israel in early August, followed by Brussels Airlines from Brussels a few weeks ago, SWISS from Zurich, and now Eurowings from Germany.
