Ritz-Carlton Serbia. The 'Yugoslavia' icon will be replaced by the luxury hotel. The luxury hotel chain Marriott signed an agreement with representatives of the Ritz-Carlton brand in Serbia. The first Ritz-Carlton brand hotel is expected to be built in Belgrade by 2027.
The hotel is expected to include 193 equipped guest rooms and suites, and two dining rooms. The full plans for the site include an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, and spa, as well as 1,700 square meters of meeting and event spaces.
"Serbia continues to grow as an important destination for business and leisure, and signing the Ritz-Carlton Belgrade reflects our commitment to expanding our brand portfolio and experiences in the capital and beyond," said Sandeep Walia, Chief Operating Officer of Marriott.

The location is also close to the Stark Arena, the city convention center, and the old town of Belgrade. The building will be constructed where the iconic "Yugoslavia" hotel once stood.
