Starting from May 22nd, the Israeli company Overseas from the Genesis Group will operate direct flights between Tel Aviv and the famous European spa town - Piešťany.
Flight duration from Israel: just about three and a quarter hours.
As recalled, Overseas, headed by Vered Schwartz and Pini Krainer, recently signed with the Trnava region tourism bureau and the local governor, an agreement to extend the cooperation of the direct flights from Tel Aviv to Piešťany for 5 years due to the success of the route last year.
Piešťany is well-known across Europe for its large spa complexes. The spa hotels in the town offer, besides treatments, a family experience, and during the summer months, vacationers can enjoy cultural events and water parks.
From Piešťany Airport, all areas of Slovakia can be reached conveniently and quickly: within about an hour and a half you can reach the area of the Low Tatras, about three hours drive to the area of the High Tatras, an hour's drive to the Rye Island area, from where you can go on a star tour to 3 countries in Europe, and that's also the duration to the capital city Bratislava. To the Trnava area, you can arrive in just half an hour, and Vienna, the capital of neighboring Austria, in about an hour and a half.
One of the most fascinating attractions in Trnava is the old town, which is the largest city in Slovakia and also serves as the historical center of the city.
Among the narrow streets and the wide markets, you can find restaurants, cafes, and stores with plenty of local gifts. In addition, you can visit a variety of galleries and cathedrals and take fascinating guided tours with the locals.

Managers of the Overseas company explain that they decided to introduce Slovakia also to young people and families, not only to those coming to the city of Piešťany, which is considered one of the prominent cities in Europe in the field of medical tourism. "The enormous variety of options for visitors in Slovakia is vast, and once we understood the great potential of the destination, we decided that it's the time to make the place accessible and expose it to many Israelis".
