Motty Reif. Photo credit: PR On Sunday night (October 26), the Kramnitzki 7 complex in Tel Aviv hosted the 15th edition of the prestigious Israel Canada Fashion Week Tel Aviv 2025. The event was once again spearheaded by producer and entrepreneur Motty Reif in collaboration with Israel Canada, the event's main sponsor.
The gala evening was inaugurated by Israel's First Lady, Michal Herzog, in the presence of Tel Aviv-Jaffa Mayor Ron Huldai and his wife Yael, Israel Canada's owners Asi Tokhmeyer and Barak Rosen, Israeli Opera CEO Tali Barsh-Gotlieb, Vered Rosen, and about 1,000 guests from key sectors.
Photo: PRThe opening night celebrated a spectrum of Israeli culture and began with a festive performance by the Israeli Opera, marking the opening of its 40th season. The stage brought together opera, choir, live music, and contemporary Israeli fashion, featuring the international soprano Hila Fahima, who came especially for the event, alongside Shiri Maimon, Roni Dalumi, Li'hi Toledano, Ania Bukshtein, and the Israeli Opera Choir.
The fusion of stage aesthetics with the runway's rhythm created a multisensory opening moment that drew attention to Israeli music, language, and design.
Photo: PROn the runway, 20 designers from Jewish, Arab, Christian, Muslim, and Druze backgrounds showcased personal interpretations of their family and community heritage. The result was a continuous blend of stories, textiles, and techniques from haute couture to handcrafts and embroidery, forming a unified story of a diverse and layered Israeli society. The designs highlighted the intersection of tradition and innovation, cultural symbolism and contemporary style, blending past elements with modern precision.
Motty Reif spoke about the civil aspect included in this year's Fashion Week: “The Hostages' Headquarters reached out to us about four days ago to use the stage of Fashion Week to cry out 'Until the Last Hostage.' We reached out to the survivors and their families, and today, at the Fashion Week opening, this group is with us, crying out ‘Until the Last Hostage.'”
The presence of families and the clear call added a sense of commitment and community to the event, while preserving a spirit of creativity, hope, and unity.

The schedule aims to present a broad tapestry of identities and design languages, from haute couture to daily conscious-wear, focusing on sustainability processes, fabric processing, and traditional techniques alongside technological innovation. Judging by the opening night, this edition promises to set local fashion as both a cultural reflection and a platform for a clear social statement.
