Air Europa is launching a direct route between Madrid and Rovaniemi (Santa Claus' hometown).
The Spanish airline has announced the launch of direct flights from Madrid to the city of Rovaniemi in Lapland, Finland, ahead of Christmas. The route will operate from November 30 to January 7, in collaboration with tour operator Icárion and airline Solaris Broker Aéreo.
Flights schedule
Departures from Madrid will be scheduled in the early morning while returns from Lapland will take place in the afternoon. This will allow travelers to maximize their time at the destination. The flights will be operated using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Air Europa and Icárion explained that the new route is a response to the growing demand from travelers seeking to discover the frozen northern regions and experience the authentic holiday atmosphere in the heart of Lapland.
Albert Biali, Director of Global Partnerships at Icárion, the tour operator partner during the event: “With this direct route to Rovaniemi, we can offer our customers an unforgettable Christmas experience in a truly magical destination, with convenience and direct access without the need for connections.”
