A storm in the New York area is affecting flights to airports in the area. The city's major airport, JFK, has issued a recommendation for passengers to contact their airlines to check if their flights are departing on time before arriving at the airport.

Additionally, due to flooding in the airport area, several changes have been made to internal train operations (AIR TRAIN) at JFK Airport, affecting travel between terminals. According to the airport's announcement, some of the entrances remain blocked.

According to the US National Weather Service, a strong storm system is expected to bring widespread but not particularly intense flooding, accompanied by strong winds, localized rainfall, and hazardous waves.
