Air India Plane Lands in Mongolia Amid Suspected Malfunction on San Francisco Flight

Air India announced that flight AI174, which departed last night (November 2) from San Francisco en route to New Delhi via Kolkata, made an emergency landing in the city of Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, after the flight crew detected a suspected technical fault with the aircraft.

The company issued a statement stating that the plane landed safely, and all passengers and crew members are safe. The aircraft is currently undergoing extensive technical inspections to ensure its safety before continuing its journey.

"We are working closely with our partners to provide full support to all passengers and are making efforts to allow them to reach their destination as soon as possible," a company spokesperson said. "We regret any inconvenience caused to passengers due to this unexpected incident. The safety of our passengers and crew is always our top priority."
