Wizz Air continues to expand its operations.
The Hungarian low-cost airline now reports that it will increase its presence at Stuttgart Airport (STR) with the launch of a new flight route to Skopje - the capital of Macedonia.
The new route will start operating from September 29, 2025, and the company notes that it "will provide travelers with the opportunity to discover the unique capital of Macedonia."

Budapest (Hungary)
Tirana (Albania)
Bucharest (Romania)
Cluj-Napoca (Romania)
Sofia (Bulgaria)
Skopje (Macedonia)
Wizzair states that all destinations are now available for booking on the company's website and that "flights are offered at affordable prices as part of Wizz Air's strategy to provide accessible flight services to the general public."
Stuttgart Airport (STR) is the sixth largest in Germany in terms of passenger traffic, with over 12 million passengers annually.
The airport serves hundreds of daily flights, and European airlines fly from it to more than 100 destinations worldwide, making it an important economic hub for the Baden-Württemberg region and a major aviation center for both leisure and business travelers.
Stuttgart Airport (STR) is an important transportation hub in southern Germany, serving as a base for many European airlines, including the low-cost carrier Eurowings, the budget airline of the Lufthansa Group, alongside a wide variety of domestic flights within Germany.
The airport in southern Germany also hosts:
Lufthansa, SWISS, and Austrian Airlines, which are part of the Lufthansa Group, operate flights from it to various destinations in Austria and Switzerland, and similarly, airlines like KLM, Air France, British Airways, and the Romanian airline TAROM also operate from there.
