One of the biggest steps the Spanish airline has taken so far this year is the launch of a new direct route to Toronto. The company has been gradually building out its long-haul footprint and reinforcing its role as a bridge between Europe and the Americas, and this new connection fits right into that strategy.
The service will start on June 13, running five times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. For the summer season, Iberia plans to offer 37,000 seats between Madrid and Toronto, appealing to both leisure and business travellers. According to the schedule, flight IB0367 will depart Madrid at noon and arrive in Toronto at 3 p.m., while the return flight, IB0368, will depart Toronto at 5:10 p.m. and arrive in Madrid the next morning at 6:55.
This new route lines up with Iberia’s broader investment plans. The airline’s Flight Plan 2030 includes €6 billion dedicated to renewing and enlarging the fleet, improving digital services, upgrading the travel experience, and adding new destinations across its network. The long-haul fleet is set to expand from 48 to 70 aircraft over the next few years.
