No stopping for Emirates. The Dubai-based aviation giant used the third day of the Dubai Airshow 2025 (November 19) to announce an order for eight additional A350-900 aircraft. The Airbus-made aircraft are equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB84 engines.

The order is valued at $3.4 billion at list price. This will increase the company's total order for this model to 73 aircraft, 13 of which have already been delivered.

According to the company's announcement, the additional aircraft will be delivered in 2031. The expansion of the order is part of the company's strategy to increase capacity, refresh the product on long-haul flights, and integrate the new Premium Economy class into the fleet.

The new order joins the Boeing 777-9 order revealed earlier this week, bringing Emirates' cumulative orders for new wide-body aircraft to 375 units.

Emirates also currently operates a total of 269 in-fleet aircraft. The list includes 116 Airbus A380s and 13 Airbus A350-900s, with another 60 A350-900s on order. Its Boeing fleet includes 119 Boeing 777-300ERs, 10 Boeing 777-200LRs, and 11 Boeing 777 freighters, with 10 more freighters planned. The airline has also placed orders for 270 Boeing 777-9s and 35 Boeing 787s, giving it one of the largest wide-body pipelines in the world.
