The world of tourism as we used to know it a decade or two ago has hit the refresh button in recent years. More and more travelers no longer find satisfaction in passive vacations and are instead searching for experiences that promote healthy lifestyles, where they can exercise, relax, recharge their batteries, and engage in meaningful activities.

This new trend has created many new intriguing experiences, but one that truly stands out today is SIRO, Kerzner International's newest hotel concept. The company behind luxury brands One&Only and Atlantis seeks to redefine how travelers live, exercise, and relax while on vacation.

Not Just Another Wellness Hotel

SIRO introduces a new and immersive concept; the hotel, its services and experiences are thoughtfully designed to help guests and members sleep, train, recover, eat and feel better. The SIRO experience begins with its modern, functional design, continues through the Fitness and Recovery Labs equipped with cutting-edge technologies, and culminates in a space that allows guests to elevate their wellbeing. Everything is built around one goal: to help you live better. From sleep-enhancing rooms to programmes that strengthen your body and mind, SIRO allows visitors to improve their quality of life even when they are away from their routine, and to return home strengthened and full of energy.

SIRO's first hotel in Europe, SIRO Boka Place, opened in May 2025 in Montenegro, within the Porto Montenegro development. The central location allows guests to enjoy a vibrant sense of community alongside the region's famous yacht harbour, while quickly connecting to the scenic nature surrounding the UNESCO-protected Bay of Kotor.

While many hotels offer a pool and a gym, SIRO provides a world of experience inside the 1,600-square-meter SIRO Fitness Lab. The main fitness floor covers a generous area and offers a multifaceted training environment with dedicated areas for strength training, cardio, functional training, as well as specialised studios for Pilates, yoga, group cycling, and HIIT sessions. Every class and personal training session is guided by expert coaches who accompany guests through structured, tailored programs.

Training, however, is only a portion of the SIRO experience. Guests balance their workouts with treatments at the SIRO Recovery Lab, an advanced recovery space that offers high-end technologies once the domain of professional athletes. There are cryotherapy treatments to reduce stress and improve recovery, infrared rooms that promote deep relaxation, cold plunge and sauna, sound wave treatments, Zen Room, Recovery Lounge and a 25-metre lap pool.

The 96 available rooms have been optimised for better sleep and relaxation. The property also offers 144 residences suitable for long stays for larger groups and families, all designed as the ideal home base for a daily routine that blends leisure, adventure and quality rest.

The design is clean, calm and intentionally crafted to support deep rest and effortless recovery. At SIRO Boka Place, every room and suite is engineered for total comfort, featuring temperature controlled mattresses, noise reducing soundproofing, advanced temperature control systems and shading windows for full light management. Integrated sleep assistance tools including meditation playlists and alarm free wakeups, along with in room wellbeing accessories, create an environment that makes it easy to rest, reset and stay in sync while travelling. Each space also includes a stretching corner and light fitness equipment to help you maintain gentle movement and recovery routines.

These wellness focused features extend across all room categories - from the multi sensory SIRO Rooms to the sleep optimised SIRO Suite - and continue throughout the bright, modern SIRO Apartments. Ranging from studios to three bedroom layouts, the apartments pair signature SIRO sleep and recovery amenities with practical additions like kitchenettes, laundry rooms, balconies and, in select options, scenic bay or mountain views. No matter which space you choose, every element is designed to help you unwind, stay active and experience your most restorative stay.

Menus That Complement Workouts and Promote Recovery

SIRO’s dining options are built to help guests eat better; in line with this, the hotel’s signature restaurant, SIRO Table, offers menu items that are carefully curated to include local and seasonally sourced ingredients, modular menus that can be adapted to dietary needs, and dishes built to better support guests' energy throughout the day. The food is not only delicious but also built to complement the fitness and recovery experience that the SIRO Boka Place offers. Alongside the restaurants, guests can gather in social meeting spaces such as the rooftop bar, SIRO Social, and The Collective, or even stop by the Refuel Bar for to-go juice blends, shakes and nourishing snacks all designed to inspire better everyday choices.

Outdoor Activities to Connect With Nature

In addition to experiences within hotel grounds, SIRO Boka Place naturally incorporates the outdoor environment into your stay with its Destination Fitness activities. Thanks to its location in Kotor Bay, the hotel is not only moments from the marina, boutiques, cafés, and a promenade, but also within easy reach to scenic nature and outdoor adventure. Options include hiking trails in Montenegro's mountains, cycling tours in wild scenic areas, canyoning, water activities along the Adriatic coast, and access to a variety of seasonal sports. These activities are an integral part of SIRO's identity, reflecting a philosophy in which better is always possible, and the body and mind are both nurtured into movement and connection with nature.

Holistic Experiences and A New Hotel

SIRO’s commitment to better, balanced living is strengthened by its new collaboration with Sanctum, an international movement concept and community that is known for transforming training with its signature sessions. Sanctum brings an approach that blends movement, breathing, and music to create a deeply holistic experience that supports overall better wellveing.

In the summer of 2026, SIRO Boka Place will host a special three-day Sanctum event featuring movement training inspired by martial arts, breathwork in nature, sunrise rituals, community-building sessions, and unique activities that immerse you in Montenegro's scenic natural landscape. The combination of a Sanctum and SIRO experience is poised to make the hotel a center of attraction not only for vacationers but also for wellness enthusiasts from all over the world.

Kerzner International has also announced the brand's continued expansion with the opening of SIRO in Tokyo in 2029. The new hotel, located in the Roppongi district, will bolster SIRO’s vision through rooms designed for better sleep, advanced wellbeing technologies, multifaceted workout spaces, and personalised recovery treatments tailored to Japan's pace of life.

The brand’s Japanese destination will be located in the center of Minato-ku and feature around 100 guestrooms, the signature Fitness Lab and Recovery Lab, along with tailored wellness options that introduce the SIRO experience into the Asia-Pacific market.

SIRO is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about new hospitality concepts, especially for active travellers seeking vacations that combine nature, adventure, community, and empowering experiences that help you live better. Montenegro offers the right mix of spectacular views, friendly prices, a European charm, and access to many out-of-the-hotel experiences, making SIRO Boka Place a natural choice for couples, groups of friends, solo travelers, high-tech companies, and wellness groups who want to step into the new era of travel.

Ultimately, SIRO represents a new international shift: a hotel stay designed not only to end with beautiful memories, but also to better support your body and mind long after you return home. With the opening of its first two hotels in Dubai and Montenegro, and the planned expansion worldwide, SIRO Hotels is set to shape one of the most intriguing and relevant changes in global tourism and modern hospitality.
