Dubai’s popular racecourse hotel, The Meydan, is getting ready for a major, highly anticipated comeback. Following a complete transformation and a newly inked partnership with Kerzner International, the hotel will once again welcome guests in early 2026 as part of the company’s Rare Finds portfolio. As expected, the news of the relaunch has already drawn attention from the region’s travel and hospitality circles, and for good reason.

A New Look for a Familiar Landmark

The renovation touches almost every corner of the hotel. Rooms, suites, the lobby, social spaces, and shared areas have all been redesigned to feel lighter, calmer, and more contemporary. The new style mixes modern Arabian influences with thoughtful details that make the hotel more comfortable for both short stays and longer visits.

The Meydan now offers 284 rooms and suites, starting at a generous 62 square meters. In a city known for large hotels, this still puts Meydan among the most spacious.

Families, business travelers, and long-stay guests will find plenty of room to settle in, especially with the expanded range of suite options that include family layouts, duplexes, panoramic rooms, and a presidential suite.

A Stay Like Nowhere Else

One thing has not changed. The Meydan Hotel is still the only hotel in the world built directly into the grandstand of an international racecourse. Every room has its own private balcony facing the Meydan track, home of the Dubai World Cup. The setting beautifully blends sport, hospitality, and entertainment in a unique manner that no other hotel worldwide can truly replicate.

The updated design builds on this setting, turning the hotel into a place where guests, including families, FITs, corporate groups, and sports-related travelers, can enjoy both the excitement of the track and the relaxed atmosphere of a lifestyle retreat.

A New Approach to Dining

Guests will also find new culinary experiences when the hotel reopens. Highlights include:

Saddle Bar, created as a stylish meeting point for drinks or light bites
The Tea Lounge at the Millennium Lobby, where afternoon tea and quieter gatherings feel at home

Each venue has been carefully reimagined to focus on warm service, uncomplicated flavors, and a sense of community.

Built for Major Events and Conferences

The Meydan Hotel has long been known as one of the major players in the city’s events scene, and the new version strengthens that role. Thanks to the hotel's fresh indoor and outdoor venues that can host up to 50,000 people, the hotel can support almost any gathering, from international conventions to private celebrations and sports-focused events.

Under Kerzner, the hotel is sharpening its focus on group travel and the growing worldwide Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) sector, which is constantly seeking dependable partners for large-scale meetings and incentives.

Leading the Way Forward for a Fresh Start

General Manager Ziad Sleiman is responsible for leading the relaunch. His background in luxury hospitality will play a central role in shaping the hotel’s next chapter within the Kerzner portfolio.

Given its spectacular racetrack setting, updated look, new dining concepts, and expanded event capabilities, The Meydan Hotel is prepared to step back into the spotlight. For travelers seeking space, comfort, and memorable experiences in Dubai, the reopening marks the beginning of a new chapter worth watching.
