Experience the magic of the Arctic night aboard the Northern Lights Train. Heading deep into the mountains, far from city lights, this Arctic Train journey gives you a great chance to see the Aurora Borealis, nature’s incredible light show, dancing across the sky.
The first stop is Bjørnfjell, near the Swedish border, an area rich in history connected to the Second World War. After a short break, the journey continues to Katterat Station, sitting 374 meters above sea level.

Around a warm campfire, you can enjoy freshly baked pastries and hot drinks as guides share stories and point out the best spots to watch for the northern lights. With the dark skies above, the chances of catching the Green Lady in action are high.
Along the journey, you’ll hear fascinating stories both on the train and outdoors, adding context and magic to your experience. You’ll also get photo tips and a brief documentary about the Northern Lights to help capture the moment.
After soaking in the lights and atmosphere, you will return to the train and head back to Narvik, leaving with memories, and plenty of breathtaking photos, of a truly unforgettable Arctic adventure.
