National Day Event Strengthens Thailand–Israel Relations. Yesterday (December 4, 2025), the Thai Embassy held its annual ceremony to mark Thailand's National Day at the luxurious George Hotel in Tel Aviv. The ceremony, which celebrates the Birthday of King Rama X and Thai Father's Day, gained special significance following the announcement of the release of the last Thai hostage's body. The event was also dedicated to the memory of Queen Mother Sirikit, who passed away in recent months.

During the event, Ambassador Boonyarit Vichienpuntu noted that a new study reveals that between 1941 and 1945, the Siamese ambassador issued hundreds of visas to Jews fleeing Europe. The ambassador also emphasized Israel's exceptional tourism achievements and presented certificates of appreciation to individuals and organizations promoting Israel-Thailand relations, including the Sawasdee Club, a community of Thai enthusiasts in Israel.
