Trump's 'golden visa' is underway. The United States has launched the Trump Gold Card, a new fast-track immigration program designed for individuals and companies who can prove their valuable contribution to the country's economy.

"The United States government's Trump Gold Card is here today!", announced US President Donald Trump in a Truth Spcial post, adding: "So exciting! Our great American companies will finally keep their invaluable talent."

The new program grants eligibility for permanent residency in the United States (via EB-1 or EB-2 visas) to candidates who pass a screening process and demonstrate the ability to make a substantial contribution to the country. Candidates are required to pay a $15,000 upfront processing fee to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Upon completion of the screening process, they must make a “donation gift” of $1 million.

So How Does the Program Work?

The process begins with submitting an online application and paying the non-refundable processing fee. After a background check and official approval, the candidate is required to donate $1 million or $2 million if applying on behalf of a company, an amount considered proof of on's ability to donate to the United States. If all stages of the process are approved, the candidate receives an EB-1 or EB-2 visa, leading to permanent resident status. Family members can also be included in the application. This includes spouses and children up to age 21, each with a separate processing fee and donation.

The application is made through the new government website called trumpcard.gov , and tracking is done through a personal account on the USCIS website. After sending all necessary receiving documents and making all payments, including passing an interview and providing any supplementary documents, applicants can obtain residency within a few weeks.

For applications through companies, there is the option of transferring eligibility to different employees, with the addition of an annual transfer fee. The launch of the Trump Platinum Card is also expected at a later time. the latter will allos for a long temporary stay in the US without tax liability on income from abroad.

Recently, the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that stricter conditions for tourist visas (ESTA) will soon come into effect, including a requirement to take a selfie, provide biometric information and social media details, and exclusively submit requests via a dedicated app.
