Cruise giant MSC Cruises has put one of its luxury offerings up for sale: a cruise around the world for 2028.
This is a 115-night cruise crossing five continents, visiting more than 40 destinations in 28 countries with departure from the Mediterranean. The cruise will continue to the Caribbean, cross the Pacific Ocean, pass through Australia, reach Asia, and finally return to Europe.
The company has revealed the itinerary, which includes stops at popular destinations and nine new destinations. Notable stops include Easter Island, one of the world's most remote inhabited islands, with volcanic landscapes and ancient ceremonial sites like the legendary Moai statues, Nuku'alofa in Tonga, in the heart of Polynesia, with pristine beaches and authentic local culture, Arica in Chile, the country's northernmost city known for its unique desert landscapes and archaeological sites of ancient Andean civilizations, and Manta in Ecuador, a coastal city with a maritime tradition and seafood cuisine.
The itinerary also includes stops in Cayo (Peru), Chiang Mai (Vietnam), and Sihanoukville (Cambodia), which will serve as a departure point for the country's main cultural sites. Passengers will also reach Grand Turk Island in the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean, with clear waters and colorful coral reefs for diving and snorkeling.
Additionally, the cruise includes overnight stops in key destinations such as Lima, Papeete in French Polynesia, Sydney, and Hanoi, giving guests enough time to thoroughly explore the culture, cuisine, and local lifestyle at their own pace. Another highlight of the itinerary is the Panama Canal passing. The latter connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, amidst tropical landscapes and biodiversity.
Along with the new destinations, the cruise also includes a series of stops that are already popular with the company's guests, including the Bahamas, Sydney, and Ocean Cay, MSC Cruises' private island.
The cruise departed on the MSC Magnifica, which recently underwent a comprehensive renovation and, for the first time, also includes the luxury MSC Yacht Club complex (a "ship within a ship" concept), which offers spacious suites with private balconies, butler and personal concierge service, and an exceptionally high-level hospitality experience.
How Much Does It Cost?
Rates start at $21,989 for an interior stateroom, covering 15 shore excursions, a complimentary Dine & Drink package during lunch and dinner, and a 30% discount on laundry services. MSC Voyager Club members in Classic class and above will also benefit from an additional discount and accelerated accrual of club points.
The cruise offers boarding options from ports in Rome, Genoa, Marseille, and Barcelona.
