The increase stems, among other things, from long-term planning, collaborations with airlines and government bodies, and significant investments in infrastructure upgrades.
The country's three main airports recorded an increase in activity, with more than 59,000 flights during the year. Lithuania once again led the Baltic aviation market, with a 40.3% market share. At the same time, connections with important European aviation hubs and other international destinations were strengthened, which increases the country's accessibility and opens up new options for passengers.
Alongside the impressive figures, Lithuania continues to promote infrastructure projects: a new landing terminal is planned at Vilnius Airport, while the takeoff terminal is undergoing extensive renovation.
