Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Photo: Shutterstock Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced the launch of a new direct flight between Singapore and Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, in June 2026.
The new service will operate four times a week using the mid-range version of the Airbus A350-900 aircraft, which includes 303 seats in 2 classes, with 40 in business class and 263 in economy.
The flights, subject to regulatory approvals, will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays:
- SQ498: Singapore to Riyadh, departure at 18:20 (local time), landing at 21:45.
- SQ499: Riyadh to Singapore, departure at 23:00 (local time), landing at 12:15 the next day.
According to Lee Lik Hsin, Singapore Airlines' Chief Commercial Officer:
"Our return to Riyadh comes amid its thriving business environment and ambitious development, which make it one of the Middle East’s most dynamic cities. Beyond a new destination, this service will potentially allow us to work with our partners to offer our customers additional travel options across the region."
Riyadh will be SIA's second Saudi destination, alongside existing Scoot flights to Jeddah, offering visitors a mix of historic sites such as Diriyah and Masmak Fort, world-class museums, luxury hotels, and diverse shopping and dining experiences.
Tickets for Singapore-Riyadh flights will be gradually put on sale through all of the company's distribution channels, subject to regulatory approvals.
