Condor, the German airline “flying its guests to the most beautiful destinations around the world since 1956,” has announced it will add Cairo to its long-haul route map. The company, which began tying Frankfurt to “exciting cities with up to three daily flights for the first time” in March 2025, will begin daily service between Frankfurt and the Egyptian capital in May 2026.
The new route, operated using an Airbus A320, marks a clear push into a region that plays a major role both economically and culturally across North Africa and the Middle East.
Condor says passengers can expect a comfortable onboard experience, with modern seating, flexible fare options, and a range of add-on services. Tickets for the new route go on sale this week and can be booked online at condor.com, by phone, or through travel agencies.
“Cairo is a fascinating destination with great economic and cultural importance,” says Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor. “With the new daily connection, we are deliberately investing in a market with long-term potential while further strengthening our position in business, leisure, and connecting traffic through Frankfurt.”

It draws millions of visitors each year, whether they are heading to newly opened landmarks like the Grand Egyptian Museum, taking in the Pyramids of Giza, or using the city as a gateway for Nile cruises that continue south toward the Valley of the Kings.
For Condor, the route fits into a broader effort to grow its international footprint and offer more direct connections from its Frankfurt hub. Currently, Condor flies approximately 10 million passengers to over 70 destinations spread across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.
