The Winter Olympics will kickstart tomorrow (February 6, 2026) in Milan, Italy. In preparation for the upcoming events that will also host several heads of state from participating countries, Malpensa Airport has issued special instructions for passengers.

According to the airport's announcement, from today, February 5, 2026, until Sunday, February 8, 2026, security and supervision will be increased both inside the terminals and in the outdoor areas.

The main impact for passengers is delays at various stages of their airport journey, which is why they are recommended to arrive earlier than usual to avoid missed flights.

The airport explained that one of the main factors for the delay is the arrival of heads of state and senior leaders from participating countries.

The Olympic Games will continue in Milan until February 22.
