Success for Tourism in Greece - Not Only in Airport Numbers. Alongside the impressive numbers reported by Athens International Airport with almost 32 million passengers and a 13% increase compared to last year, passenger data from the country's largest sea port, Port of Piraeus, for the year 2024 has also been published.

According to the official data from the Greek Ports Authority, 2024 was a record year for the port with 1.7 million passengers passing through, compared to 1.5 million in 2023.

Overall, there were 810 dockings at Piraeus Port last year compared to 760 in 2023.

But that’s not all, the port already anticipates a much bigger and significant increase in maritime activity in the new year. According to Greek Ports Authority estimates based on future bookings, 2025 will end with 940 dockings at Port of Piraeus.
