According to the announcement (A0127/26), route 09/27 will be closed to all civilian flights between February 23, 2026, at 01:15 (UTC) and 02:50 on that day, and again on February 24 between 01:05 and 03:35 (UTC).
During these time windows, no civilian flights will be allowed to take off or land on the runway, except for military flights, which will operate as usual. Since this is the airport's main runway, airlines operating to and from Sofia may adjust their schedules, including advancing or delaying flights.
