Photo: Shutterstock U.S. President Donald Trump released an eight-minute video this morning (Saturday, 2/28/26), extensively addressing the military operation in Iran.
He stated, among other things: "Shortly ago, the U.S. military commenced a broad operation in Iran to protect the American people by eliminating threats from the Iranian regime—a group of terrible people."
The President further added, "Their actions endanger the United States and American military bases. For 47 years, this regime has chanted 'Death to America' and led a mass killing campaign against us and innocents in numerous countries worldwide."
He continued, "From Lebanon to Yemen, from Syria to Iraq, the Iranian regime has funded terror militias soaking the ground in blood, and they are also responsible for the massacre of Israelis on October 7. An attack of a kind the world has never seen before. Iran is the largest state sponsor of terror, killing tens of thousands of its citizens who tried to protest."
At the core of Trump's speech, the President stated: "Our policy is to ensure Iran has no nuclear weapons, and I say it again, they will not have nuclear weapons... We will destroy Iran's missile industry."
To the Iranian people, the President said: "Take control, this is your opportunity." To the Iranian regime, he said: "Lay down your weapons and gain immunity—or face certain death."
