Photo: Shutterstock U.S. President Donald Trump released an eight-minute video this morning (Saturday, February 28, 2026) where he extensively discussed the military operation in Iran.
He stated: "Recently, the U.S. military initiated a large-scale operation in Iran, aimed at protecting the American people by neutralizing threats from the Iranian regime, a group of terrible people".
The president added: "Their actions endanger the United States and American military bases. For 47 years, this regime has chanted 'Death to America' and led a mass murder campaign directed against us and innocents in many countries worldwide".
He further mentioned, "From Lebanon to Yemen, from Syria to Iraq, the Iranian regime has funded terror militias that have stained the earth with blood, and they are also responsible for the massacre of Israelis on October 7. An attack the world has never seen before. Iran is the largest funder of terrorism in the world, having also killed tens of thousands of its citizens who attempted to protest".
In the core of his speech, Trump stated: "Our policy is to ensure that Iran will not have nuclear weapons, and I say it again, they will not have nuclear weapons... We will destroy Iran's missile industry".
To the Iranian people, the president said: "Take control, this is your opportunity". To the Iranian regime, he said: "Lay down your weapons and gain immunity, or face certain death".
