After Dubai Airport was hit by an Iranian missile and operations were suspended, the Dubai Airports Authority announced that a partial return to operations will begin this evening (Monday, March 2).
According to the announcement, a limited number of flights will be allowed to operate from both Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central-Al Maktoum Airport (DWC). This is the first and limited phase of resumption of operations, after the airports were closed following the security incident.
Dubai authorities stress that passengers should not arrive at DXB or DWC unless they have received direct notification from their airline with a confirmed departure time. Other flights are currently not operating, and full operations have not yet resumed.
The Airports Authority notes that the flight schedule will be updated in accordance with developments and an assessment of the situation, with the safety and security of passengers and crew members as top priorities.
The company's announcement stated that in the first stage, priority will be given to customers who have made reservations in advance. Passengers assigned to flights that will be rescheduled will receive a direct notification from the company. Emirates emphasized that passengers should not arrive at the airport unless they have received an official update on flight assignment.
