Serbian Foreign Ministry Confirms Evacuation of Nationals from the Middle East

Serbia's Foreign Ministry has announced that 67 Serbian citizens, as well as citizens from other European countries, have been safely evacuated from Israel via Sharm el-Sheikh on a special flight; on March 3, around 200 Serbian citizens were evacuated from the UAE via a flydubai flight

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the successful completion of an evacuation operation of Serbian citizens and other citizens from the State of Israel.

According to the announcement published on X, these are 67 citizens of Serbia, along with citizens from Montenegro, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Slovenia, who were in Israel.

It was also reported that the citizens were transported on a special Air Serbia flight from Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, and arrived safely in the capital, Belgrade.

The Foreign Ministry's State Secretary, Damjan Jovic, who flew to Egypt to coordinate the operation, emphasized that Serbia's diplomatic and consular missions are working around the clock for the benefit of the country's citizens.

Earlier in the week, a flydubai Boeing 737 Max 8 that was carrying roughly 200 Serbian citizens evacuated from the UAE landed at Belgrade Airport.
