Winter Peaks Across Greece: From Resorts to Islands and the Sea.
Just like in Western Europe, Greece is experiencing one of its coldest weekends of the year, with temperatures expected to drop to zero degrees in many areas, including popular tourist destinations.
In Thessaloniki, Arkia Airlines passengers arriving tonight (Thursday) should prepare for cold conditions, with temperatures as low as 2 degrees Celsius. By tomorrow night, they may fall further to zero degrees. Daytime temperatures are milder, around 11 degrees, and are expected to rise next week.
Athens, where more than ten flights from Israel are landing today, faces similar conditions but slightly warmer. While the nights will be chilly, with temperatures dropping to 3 degrees tomorrow night (Friday) and 4 degrees over the weekend, the days remain pleasant, reaching up to 14 degrees. No rain is forecasted for either Athens or Thessaloniki during the weekend.

Ioannina will also experience sub-zero temperatures over the next few nights, though without snow. On Evia Island, nighttime temperatures will hover around 1-2 degrees.
Crete remains noticeably warmer, with daytime temperatures of 16-17 degrees and nighttime lows of 11-12 degrees. However, rain is forecasted for the weekend. The White Mountains of Crete, which have been beautifully snow-capped for the past two months, are not expected to receive additional snowfall in the coming days.
