Last Night in Dubai: A Drone Crashed on a Building, Causing a Fire

Authorities evacuated residents from the building as a safety measure while emergency services worked at the scene and began investigating the circumstances of the incident

On Thursday night (March 12), Dubai authorities reported "a drone fell on a building in the vicinity of Dubai Creek Harbour", one of the city's most developed and central areas.

According to an official announcement, emergency forces were called to the scene immediately after the incident was reported, safely containing the fire and evacuating the building.

Local sources said that security and rescue teams started working at the scene and are assessing the situation, while examining the circumstances of the drone's fall and its consequences.

No injuries have been reported, but the area has been temporarily closed for the forces' activity and continued handling of the incident.

Dubai authorities continue to monitor developments and emphasize that the safety of residents and visitors to the area is their top priority.
