Similarly, Dubai Airports, the body responsible for supervising Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), said adverse weather was expected "between March 23 and 27". The authority advised passengers to "allow additional time when travelling to DXB or DWC" and check their flight status directly with their airline before heading to the airport.
The unstable weather is expected to continue until Saturday, March 28, in the UAE, while countries like Egypt, Oman, and Bahrain, which are also dealing with storm systems, heavy winds, poor visibility, and flight cancellations, can expect conditions to ease starting Friday.
EgyptAir has asked passengers to arrive at the airport significantly earlier than usual to avoid missing their flights due to road congestion and visibility issues. The national carrier issued an urgent advisory to passengers on Thursday, March 26, amid torrential rains and flash-flood warnings, which may disrupt activities and force a nationwide shutdown of schools and universities.
