The French low-cost carrier Transavia France, a subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group, will reinstate direct flights between Paris-Orly and Tel Aviv beginning January 28, 2025.

Initially, Transavia France will offer three weekly flights on the Paris-Tel Aviv route, with plans to increase service to seven flights per week over time. This initiative aligns with the group’s strategy to provide more affordable, accessible travel options for passengers flying between the two cities.

By expanding its operations, Transavia France aims to cater to a broad audience, including business travelers, tourists, and Israelis seeking cost-effective options for visiting France. Flights will operate from Paris-Orly Terminal, strategically located near the French capital, offering convenient connections to central Paris and other European destinations.

The airline’s return to the Paris-Tel Aviv route introduces direct competition with other carriers, including Air France itself, which has also reinstated flights to Israel. Passengers can expect increased flight frequency, more competitive pricing, and an expanded range of travel options.

In its announcement, Transavia France emphasized its intention to gradually scale up the route’s frequency based on market demand and operational considerations. Details regarding ticket pricing and schedules will soon be available on the company’s website and travel platforms.

This development follows Transavia France’s broader expansion plans for its summer 2025 schedule, which include eight new routes. Notable additions are flights from Paris-Orly to Sofia, Bulgaria, starting April 10, 2025, with fares from €45 one-way, and to Chisinau, Moldova, commencing July 7, 2025, with fares from €65 one-way.

The airline also plans to launch six additional routes next summer: Marseille - Athens, Strasbourg - Istanbul, Montpellier - Brussels, Lyon - Ajaccio (Corsica), Bastia (Corsica) - Biarritz, Bordeaux - Faro.

Whether Transavia France's return to the Paris-Tel Aviv route will influence airfare competition remains to be seen, but it undoubtedly represents an exciting opportunity for travelers seeking greater convenience and value.
