Flight restrictions have been eased: Starting Saturday night, the passenger limit on flights will be increased to up to 80 people per flight, including humanitarian cases.
This move follows ongoing security-related restrictions in the aviation sector, after a period where outbound passengers from Israel were limited to about 70 per flight, including humanitarian cases.
Under the updated plan, the new quota now covers passengers defined as humanitarian cases, with a designated allotment of seats reserved for them on every flight.
Aviation industry sources say this is another step toward expanding air travel, but stress that the policy remains limited and is subject to security developments and ongoing assessments in the coming days.
The Ministry of Transport will continue to monitor the situation, with further changes to flight operations dependent on real-time developments and safety considerations.
