Air Canada Introduces the Only Non-Stop Flight Between North America and Tenerife

Air Canada is expanding its winter 2026–27 network with new long-haul and leisure routes, including the only nonstop flights from North America to Tenerife. The airline is also adding destinations such as Roatán, Santo Domingo, Mérida and Mazatlán, while increasing flights to Latin America and strengthening its presence in the Caribbean and Mexico

Air Canada has upgraded its global network of destinations for the winter 2026-2027 season with interesting choices, including the "only non-stop flights between North America and Tenerife, Canary Islands."

The airline also announced Roatán, Santo Domingo, Mérida, and Mazatlán for its exciting winter roster, along with a number of fresh non-stop flights to well-known locations in the Caribbean and Mexico. Passengers can already book seats on the airline's official website. Vacation packages are also on sale.

With the next-generation capabilities of our future Airbus A321XLR aircraft, travellers using the only non-stop flights from North America now have convenient options to reach the island, renowned for its stunning volcanic landscapes, wide array of must-see activities, and year-round warm climate.”

Additional Vancouver-Latin America Flights

The company also announced it was extending its flights to Latin America from Vancouver via its Airbus A220 fleet, while also further growing its Air Canada Rouge bases that enable "much-needed non-stop service to Costa Rica and Mexico, including Mazatlán, a new Mexican destination."

The airline has also included Roatán, Santo Domingo, and Mérida to its global network, while introducing appealing new leisure destinations to customers in Edmonton, Winnipeg, Quebec City, and Halifax.

Flights to Tenerife will be serviced by the company's new Airbus A321XLR that features fully reclining seats in Business Class and 14 seats in Air Canada Signature Class, among others.
