Panama's flag carrier Copa Airlines has exciting news. The NYSE-listed subsidiary of Copa Holdings, S. A., and a member of the Star Alliance, will be the first airline in Latin America to introduce Starlink internet on its flights.
"Coming soon, the fastest Wi-Fi in the sky arrives onboard," said the 1947-founded company in a recent X post.
The carrier relies on its strategically positioned "Hub of the Americas" at Tocumen International Airport (PTY) to connect more than 80 cities across North, Central, and South America, as well as the Caribbean.
CIRIUM recently appointed Copa Airlines as “The Most Punctual Airline in Latin America” in 2025 for the 11th time, thanks to an on-time performance of 90.75%, the highest among all airlines in the region and the second-highest in the world, surpassing the percentage recorded in the global ranking category.
Starting on December 8, the airline increased its service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Panama City, from five flights per week to nonstop daily services.
