Operation "Lion's Roar" resulted in a wave of cancellations and a halt in service by foreign airlines on routes to and from Israel. Following the ceasefire, many airlines have already announced their return to Israeli operations.

Etihad Airways advanced its return to April 15.

Hainan Airlines is likely to resume flights to Tel Aviv on April 16, though this depends on approval from China's Civil Aviation Authority.

Ethiopian Airlines announced it will resume flights to Israel on April 16.

On Friday, April 17, Red Wings, Georgian Airways, and FlyOne from Armenia will also resume operations.

Air France announced an extension of flight cancellations to and from Israel until May 3.

Cyprus Airways announced flight cancellations to and from Israel are extended until April 30.

TUS Airways announced it will resume flights to Tel Aviv on April 14.

Friday, April 10, 2026

Blue Bird announced it will resume the Athens-Tel Aviv route on April 12; Etihad Airways announced it will resume Abu Dhabi-Tel Aviv flights on April 16, deploying one of its newest aircraft; Smartwings will restart Prague-Tel Aviv flights on April 15; Wizz Air said it will gradually resume flights to Israel from April 25.

British Airways announced the resumption of Tel Aviv flights on July 1, 2026, with one daily flight instead of two.

Monday, April 6, 2026

Aegean extended its suspension of flights to and from Israel until June 26, 2026.

TAP Air Portugal extended flight cancellations until May 31.

Sunday, April 5, 2026

Air India extended flight cancellations until the end of May 2026.

Bulgaria Air cancelled flights until May 11, inclusive.

Saturday, April 4, 2026

United Airlines cancelled flights until September 7.

Sky Express extended flight cancellations to and from Israel until April 16.

Ethiopian Airlines announced the cancellation of flights to and from Israel until April 16, inclusive.

Delta Air Lines announced an extension of flight suspensions from New York and Atlanta to Israel until September 5.

Monday, March 23:

TAP Air Portugal announced the cancellation of Tel Aviv-Lisbon route flights until May 10.

Lufthansa Group (including Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines) cancelled flights to Tel Aviv until May 31, inclusive. Eurowings is suspended until April 30.

Iberia Express cancelled its flights to Israel until May 31, inclusive.

Anima Wings cancelled flights until August 9, 2026.

ITA Airways cancelled its Tel Aviv route until April 30, including flight AZ809 on May 1.

Friday, March 20:

KLM cancelled flights until April 11.

Air Seychelles: Air Seychelles announced the continued suspension of flights to and from Israel, due to the security situation, until April 9.

LOT, the Polish carrier, cancelled flights until May 31.

Sunday, March 15:

flydubai is cancelling flights until April 30 for the Dubai - Tel Aviv route.

KLM cancelled flights to Israel for the entire winter flight schedule.
