With an average of more than 1,300 flights a day, Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam is the busiest in Europe.
According to Eurostat, the research center of the European Union, the main international Dutch airport handled around 484,000 flights last year, which averages more than 1,300 flights a day.
Also in terms of the number of passengers at Schiphol, as we published earlier this month, there was an increase of 8%, with a total of 66.8 million passengers passing through the airport last year, on flights to 301 destinations.
Graph: EUROSTAT The second place, according to the number of flights for 2024, went to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France, with 463,000 flights a year or an average of more than 1,250 flights a day.
Frankfurt Airport in Germany came in third place in 2024 with 437,000 flights a year or an average of about 1,200 flights a day.
The list continues with two major airports in Spain - Madrid and Barcelona in fourth and fifth places.
