Royal Caribbean Cruises has announced the launch of a new cruise season for 2027-2028, featuring a wide range of itineraries in Asia aboard Spectrum of the Seas.
According to the announcement, the new season will feature sailings to 22 different destinations across Asia, with lengths ranging from 3 to 11 nights. The itineraries will primarily depart from Shanghai, Tokyo and Hong Kong, and will include key destinations such as Japan, South Korea and Vietnam.
Among the notable innovations: long-distance cruises of 8 to 10 nights with the option of one-way itineraries between cities, including starting or ending in Tokyo. In addition, seasonally focused cruises will be offered, such as spring itineraries featuring blossoms across China, Japan and Korea, alongside autumn cruises with fall foliage views.

The cruise line will operate special sailings from Hong Kong during the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year periods.
The ship will offer a variety of attractions for passengers, including entertainment facilities, family activities, diverse dining areas, and unique attractions such as an observation capsule, a skydiving simulator, and indoor activity areas.
Recall that earlier this month, Royal Caribbean unveiled Hero of the Seas, the fourth ship in the Icon series, which is expected to arrive in Miami in August 2027 and set sail on its maiden voyage on August 11, 2027. Upon entering service, the ship is expected to become the largest cruise ship in the world. The ship has 20 decks, with a capacity of 7,600 passengers and 2,350 crew members. It is expected to replace Icon of the Seas in its home port of Miami, which is expected to move to Galveston, Texas.
