Drama in the Air: Four Passengers and Two Crew Members Injured During United Airlines Flight.
United Airlines flight number UA613, which took off last night (Thu) January 23 from Lagos, Nigeria to Washington D.C., was forced to turn back after a technical fault and an unusual and unexpected movement of the plane.
The Boeing 787-7 landed safely at Lagos airport after the incident led to the injury of four passengers and two crew members.
United Airlines stated to Passport News that: "The lightly injured were taken to hospitals and released after receiving medical treatment. The company is cooperating with aviation authorities in the U.S. and Nigeria to understand the circumstances of this unusual incident."
There were 245 passengers, eight flight attendants, and three pilots on board.
It is worth noting that about a month ago, SWISS Airlines regrettably announced the death of a flight attendant from the crew of flight LX 1885, which took off from Bucharest to Zurich. The flight had to make an emergency landing in the city of Graz, Austria due to an engine malfunction, which caused smoke to develop in both the cockpit and the passenger cabin. Two flight attendants were taken for medical treatment, and unfortunately, one of them passed away.
