Breaking News: A major update for the Israeli aviation market – the Greek carrier Aegean Airlines will resume its flights to Israel as early as April 28, earlier than originally planned. The company suspended operations at the start of the "Lion's Roar" war and initially announced a return in late June. However, in light of the recent ceasefire, the airline has decided to move up its return.
This is especially positive news for local tourism ahead of the approaching summer season, as Greece remains one of the most popular destinations among Israelis, with high demand for both its islands and mainland attractions.
The early return of Aegean Airlines is expected to increase flight availability to Greece, help lower prices, and gradually restore competition on these sought-after routes.
Additionally, today, Sky Express—the second largest airline in Greece—also resumed its flights to Israel, further strengthening the recovery of air travel routes between the two countries.
